I offer individual and group clinical supervision to a variety of practitioners including but not limited to psychotherapists and counsellors from the humanistic traditions. I create a safe enough collegiate space for you to bring your clinical work and experience of working as a counsellor/psychotherapist or allied professional. This may mean that we explore your experience of your work verbally or if you're interested we might experiment with the use of creativity and/or movement practice. I am particularly interested in how we carry the felt and unspoken experience of our clinical work in our bodies, especially when working with trauma. I also offer outdoor clinical supervision either for a specific piece of work or as part of our room-based work.
I have a wide variety of experience of working for a number of different organisations in the voluntary and statutory sectors so understand that the context in which we work has an influence on our practice. My work as a ChildLine supervisor has influenced and informed my work as a clinical supervisor, particularly in supporting practitioners to safeguard and manage the complexity of presenting issues with clients. I work to the UKCP ethical framework but will explore and support you to work within your own ethical and organisational framework.
I experience my own individual and group supervision as invaluable to my ongoing development as a person and to my practice. I am passionate about the importance of the supervisory relationship as paramount to clinical work and guarding against vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue. If you're interested in meeting me for an initial consultation to discuss your needs then please get in contact.
I offer supervision predominantly from my workspace in Underwood, Nottingham, just off Junction 27 of the M1. However, for groups/organisations I am willing to travel in the areas of Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Chesterfield. I charge £60 for 60 minute session. I contract with people on a fortnightly or monthly basis.
